Whitstable
Our favourite. Obviously.
The cottage is in the pretty Whitstable Conservation Area and close to the famous Neptune pub on the beach. (Which was voted best summer pub in the Telegraph- although with its log burners we love it just as much in the winter.) It is also a very short walk along the beach to the many Independent Shops, Grocery Stores and Deli’s and Cheese Stores. There are many amazing Restaurants, Down- to -earth Pubs, Cafes and Bakeries and we supply information about these on booking.
Turn right out of the cottage and you can walk to the bustling harbour, the quaint town, the castle with playgrounds and cream teas and then Tankerton slopes and on. Stop for oysters, ice-cream and Bloody Mary's on the way. Turn left and walk towards the more rugged Seasalter- if you walk for just over an hour along the beach you'll reach the Michelin starred Sportsman pub. The beach is perfect for children and provides hours of entertainment for the little ones. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round and nearly all pubs, restaurants and cafes are hound-friendly. There are tennis courts by the beach, countless water sports, Sailing, drop in art, dance, sport and yoga classes..... let us know your interests in advance and we can let you know what's on while you are visiting.
